I have been asked if Google Adwords should be considered when advertising a site. That really depends. You need to make sure you have the right keywords selected, you have created a catchy but not deceitful description of your site. Make sure your site is easily navigatable and looks professional(depends on the site).
1. Keywords You have to make sure you choose the right keywords. Choosing the wrong keyword can be deadly to your campaign. You got to be specific. If your site sells Toshiba Notebooks. A campaign with any of the following keywords is to general and will most likely get few results. notebooks, laptops..
It would be better to advertise Toshiba Notebooks although this is quite general as well.
2. Description I find that many people use decietful descriptions to gain customers but in the long run they just use more bandwidth. Make sure your description is catchy but true. Make sure you have something that none of your comptetition offer or atleast the customer doesn't think they do.
3. Make sure the site is easy to navigate and the order form is simple and does not require hours of time to fill out.
4. Keep your prices below competition. A few pointers. I hope this helped you out. Good luck!
